Another Oliver Stone "conspiracy"

Althouse gets it just right about this pretentious jerk. I suppose I'll rent the video for the battle scenes, but you couldn't pay me to sit through Stone's Alexander in a theater.

"You mean he's got two of 'em"

It's nice to have Peggy Noonan back in the WSJ. She stopped writing there while she helped in the effort to re-elect the President. It's refreshing to read her articles again.

My Wish List

How come when I'm browsing Amazon.com's list of suggested items they come up with for me, it includes a nose-hair trimmer? Do they figure I'm some old fart with unsightly hair sprouting from inappropriate places? Well... I am but how the heck did they find out? Maybe I do need one, but I'm not putting it on my wish list.

He don't get no reSPECTer

Adios, John

I'm not the only one who thought Ashcroft did a fine job.

Is this The End Of Innocence?

I'm listening to Bruce Hornsby tonight. Not my usual cup of tea, but he's not half bad. I think after listening to the album currently playing however, I may take a two or three month break... Jeffrey Gaines though... That's my kind of pop...

Joe Fish

Sure, reading the VDH piece below and taking it to heart could be the best thing the Dems could do for themselves.

On the other hand...

Election Fallout

All the Dems wringing their hands, scratching their heads and blaming the theocons for their recent drubbing should read this... or not. I wouldn't mind if they don't take good advice.

He is not in a coma

The Boardroom

I love it when an entire post disappears before I publish it. I guess the thing is to save it locally and upload. grrrrrrrrrr... Ok, here it is again.

If you've never read Ace Of Spades, get over there right now. Especially if you're a fan of The Apprentice on NBC. Here's the url:

Ed. Can I be a little slicker on that link. Maybe if I said to get over and read this snazzy satire. Oh yeah, that's the ticket. This html stuff is loads of fun (rolling eyes).

First Hurdle

I realize that these first posts will only be of interest to me or perhaps someone going through the same blog-birth-pains. After some effort, I have a blogroll going! Ok, now on to finishing it out... I guess the spell-checker doesn't work in this window. Nuts.

Ed. - I wonder if I'll still be into this after the pain meds wear off... Now up to L on the roll... Can't... stop... using... ellipses...

Ed. (9pm) - Ok, finished with the roll... Man, that's a lot of cut'n'paste. And I haven't even punditized anything yet. Well, tomorrow.

One Toe in the Pool

Now that the blogfest of the election is over, I guess it's time to get in the water, so to speak. I've been reading blogs for about a year and mulling starting my own for almost that length of time. So, what do I think I can add to the blogosphere that is relevant or interesting to others? I'm not sure, even after thinking about it all this time, but surely I can come up with some tidbits that are as good as the blogs I read on a daily basis.

I guess the first order of business is to get organized on this thing though. Create a blogroll! That's the ticket. Ok, learning curve, here we come...
